Helping Pit Bulls get back their good name!

Here is a link to a blog about pit bulls and pit mixes who go above
and beyond the normal canine companion (service dogs, therapy dogs,
heroes..etc) It was just started so right now there aren't many posts
but more are sure to come! Along with the writers own stories, there
will also be links to articles found online, information about dogs
needing help and/or homes and any other information that will
hopefully help educate people about the breed. Please check it out,
become a follower and pass it on to as many people as you can. The
only way these beautiful dogs are going to get back the good
reputation they deserve is to educate people who don't know any better
and believe all the media hype. Please help me help them!

Going with the mainstream seems to be more important (or easy?) than
learning. :(

Recently we had a local city BOD member try to outlaw/ban ALL pit bulls
and look alikes....from the city. She got voted down but I am sure she
will try again. That meeting was a packed house!! 90% against such a
stoopid law.

Due to physical limitations, I was unable to attend that meeting, but
beforehand I e-mailed each member of the Board some positive stories to
read before voting. :)
But I am sure the overwhelming number of folks ready to speak against
such a law was the deciding factor in the thumbs down vote by everyone
on the Board....but her.
