Yes, we are not the only primate who devour the brains of other
creatures. The lesser primates are getting back for the Orientals dining
on the brains of monkeys while the creatures are still alive. Most
cultures, like the French or Southern Americans, eat the brains of non-
primates in dishes like tête de veau, or head of calf, or the famous
fried brains with scrambled eggs to produce the famous Southern favorite
"Eggs n' Brains".
Another savory Southern US favorite is squirrel brains. Squirrels are a
small tree climbing rodent. I don't know if they are in Europe, Far
east, or in Oz. You cook the head with the rest of the body, then, using
your fingers and a fork, you crack the skull open and dig the brain out.
Tastes kind of like mushrooms according the the review I read.

It's only an infant, or the person holding it would be in mortal danger
of being hypnotized and having their brain devoured raw. You can see how
the young creature is trying very intently to hypnotize its captor.
